Mysore/Mysuru: N.R. Sharada (96), wife of late veteran Kannada film actor K.S. Ashwath, passed away here on Sunday following age-related illness.
She was a resident of 4th Main, 6th Cross, Saraswathipuram. She leaves behind 2 sons including actor Shankar Ashwath, 2 daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Her body was kept at her residence for a few hours this morning for enabling the public to pay their last respects, following which the last rites were conducted at the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday afternoon.
Her husband, late actor K.S. Ashwath had shot into fame for his role as ‘Chamaiah Meshtru’ in the Vishnuvardhan starrer hit-cinema ‘Nagarahavu’. Ashwath passed away 15 years ago in January 2010.
