Vid. G.K. Manamohan to present Karnatak vocal recital on Nov. 27

Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a music concert by Vid. G.K. Manamohan at its premises in Kuvempunagar on Nov. 27 at 6 pm. 

He will be accompanied by Vid. C.N. Tyagaraju on violin and Vid. G.S. Ramanujan on mridanga.

This will also be streamed both in YouTube and Facebook and it is available in pages of Ganabharathi.

PROFILE: G.K. Manamohan started learning Karnatak vocal under Vidu. H.N. Rajalakshmi and pursued further under late Vidu. Vasanta Sundararajan and Vidu. Pushpa Srinivasan in Mysuru.

He was featured in the music programmes of AIR Mysuru on numerous occasions since the age of seven. He won the first prize at National-level AIR Competition in Devotional Category in 2002. He received CCRT National and Karnataka State Sangeeta Nritya Academy Scholarship for Karnatak vocal. 

He has performed concerts in many prestigious organisations and Sabhas in Karnataka and in the US and has received accolades from music connoisseurs and rasikas. 

After serving at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as Environment Health & Safety Specialist for thirteen years, he has taken voluntary retirement and is now pursuing music full time, according to a press release from Ganabharathi Secretary T.S. Venugopal  [Mob: 99000-82773]
