Vidu. Bharathi Ramsubban to sing at Krishna Gana Sabha

Sri Krishna  Gana Sabha has arranged a music concert by Vidushi Bharathi Ramsubban at  Alwar Kalabhavan in Gokulam on Saturday, 19th  August at 6 pm. She will be accompanied by Vidu. Adithi Krishna Prakash on violin, Vid. P. Nataraj on mridanga and Vid. P. Shyam on ghatam.

Profile: Bharathi Ramsubban belongs to the GenNext of young musicians on her way to making a mark in the field of Karnatak music. Born into a family of passionate art-lovers, Bharathi’s music has been honed by the veteran musician Padma Bhushan Vid. P. S. Narayanaswamy, the prime disciple of the doyen Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. Her music resonates with the grandeur of the Semmangudi bani (style of music) that she hails from.

Endowed with a perfect blend of a mellifluous voice, a sharp intellect and focus on aesthetic, Bharathi’s performances are marked with erudition and emotion. She is an A-grade artiste of the All India Radio (AIR), Chennai and has many awards to her credit.

On the academic front, Bharathi is a gold medallist in her Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnological Law & Ethics from the School of Law, University of Sheffield, UK.
