Mysore/Mysuru: Bharatiya Jain Sanghatan (BJS), Mysuru Chapter, has organised Vidyadaan by YOU – 2023 initiative to collect used text books from passing students of I PUC and above and the same will later be given to needy students to help them in their studies.
BJS will start collecting the books on May 7 and three more rounds of collection will be done on May 14, May 21 and May 28 from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm at the following locations in city: Sri Sthanak Jain Bhavan, Halladakeri; Sri Terapanth Bhavan, M.G. Road and Sri Kunthunath Jain Temple, Ittigegud.
Bharatiya Jain Sanghatan was established in the year 1985 under the visionary leadership of Shantilal Muttha. BJS has been running this programme for the last five years and distributed thousands of books to several students.
BJS has been in the forefront of addressing national concerns in the areas of Educational Initiatives, Social Development and Disaster Response. It has also been conducting Empowerment of Girls training programme in several colleges in collaboration with Department of Collegiate Education, according to a press release from Jain Kushal Palrecha, Secretary, BJS, Mysuru.
