Mysore/Mysuru: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous), Mysuru, had organised ‘Vidyarambh,’ an academic orientation programme for the second and third-year undergraduate students at its premises in city recently.
The programme aimed at rejuvenating students’ focus on academic excellence, personal growth and institutional values as they step into advanced stages of their degree journey. The event began with invocation led by Campus Administrator Rev. Fr. Gnana Pragasam followed by lamp lighting by Rector Rev. Dr. Lourdu Prasad Joseph.
In his address, Rev. Dr. Lourdu Prasad Joseph appreciated the student community, referring to them as ambassadors of the College.
The resource session led by Emmanuel Massey, Corporate and Soft Skills Trainer from EM Academy, Mysuru, introduced the concept of SAPO (Self-Awareness, Action, Purpose and Outcome), followed by sessions on intonation, time management, money & energy use and value of knowledge and wisdom.
