Vidyaranyapuram jewellery shop dacoity case: Police continues search for absconding ‘Bombay Budda’

‘Amruth Gold and Silver Palace’ in Vidyaranyapuram remains closed since the dacoity and shootout incident took place on Aug. 23.

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Police, who are investigating case pertaining to looting of gold ornaments from Amruth Gold and Silver Palace, a jewellery store in Vidyaranyapuram here on Aug. 23, are continuing their search for the ninth accused in the case, nicknamed ‘Bombay Budda.’  

Budda is aged above 60 years and has gone absconding with the lion’s share of the booty.

Budda has switched off his mobile phone and as he is not in touch with anyone, it has become a problem for the Cops to trace him. 

The team of Mysuru Police personnel, led by Krishnaraja (KR) Sub-Division ACP, has stayed put in Mumbai and is making all efforts to trace and nab Budda.

Though the Police searched those who were in touch with him and collected information from them, they are unable to trace him.

As Budda has gone absconding with over one kg of gold ornaments, the Police visited shops, where he could sell the gold and have collected information besides inspecting these shops. The Cops are keeping a hawk eye vigil on pawn shops too.
