Resuming at their overnight score of 184 for 2, Karnataka helped by a brilliant 150 n.o. (15×4, 1×6) by skipper Smaran, scored 380 for 4 decl. in 77.4 overs. In the second innings, Puducherry were bowled out for 91 in 23 overs, which helped the hosts to a big win.
