‘Vishnu Sambhrama’ in city on Sept. 19

Mysuru: Dr. Rajkumar Musical Group has organised ‘Vishnu Sambhrama,’ for the fourth time, as a tribute to late actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan, at Jaganmohan Palace premises in city on Sept. 19 at 5.30 pm.

Led by Dr. Rajkumar fan, Mysuru Jayaram, the event will feature special songs from Dr. Vishnuvardhan’s films performed with live music. Singers Mysuru Jayaram, Jagadish, TVS Kumar, Suresh, Nandakumar, Dr. Surendran, Chandrashekhar, Sarvamangala, Ashwini Shastri, Anita and Shweta will perform.

International keyboard players Deepak Jayasheelan and Nithin Lawrence, tabla players Roshan and Athmaram, guitarists Praveen Kiggal and Vinay Rangadhol will play instruments. Raj Sampanje will compere.

The special attraction of the event will be the presence of Jayashree Raj, who is often called ‘Junior Vishnuvardhan.’

The programme will be inaugurated by the titular head of Mysore Royal Family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, who is also the Mysuru-Kodagu MP, in the gracious presence of Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji of Melukote Vangipur Mutt.

Special guests include Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda, KR MLA T.S. Srivatsa and former MLA S. Balaraj.

The programme will be presided over by Sugama Sangeetha Parishat Mysuru District Unit President Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy.

Entry to the programme is free, according to a press release.
