Mysuru: Senior Congress leader and former MP A.H. Vishwanath, who is all set to quit the Congress, reportedly met JD(S) Supremo and former PM H.D. Deve Gowda at the latter’s Padmanabhanagar residence here yesterday.
During the 45-minute talk, Deve Gowda is said to have suggested Vishwanath to join JD(S) at the earliest as it would enable the party to better organise itself ahead of the 2018 Assembly Polls. Deve Gowda is also said to have assured Vishwanath that the differences in Mysuru district JD(S) Unit will be resolved soon.
After the meeting, Vishwanath refused to talk to the waiting media persons, it is learnt. Also, Vishwanath remained incommunicado after the meeting.
