Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Shobith Rangappa, faculty member of Adichunchanagiri University, has been honoured with “Award for Research Publication (ARP).”
This award, conferred by Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Government of Karnataka, is given in recognition of scientific research contribution in the previous year. ARP is instituted by VGST to nourish science research in Karnataka.
The Award Selection Committee was chaired by Bharat Ratna Prof. C.N.R. Rao.
Dr. Shobith obtained his Ph.D from Hokkaido University, Japan and currently he is serving as the Director of Adichunchanagiri Institute for Molecular Medicine, Adichunchanagiri University, B.G. Nagar, Mandya district.
He has published over 60 research papers and holding five patents in the area of cancer therapeutics and drug discovery.
He was awarded Prof. R.C. Shah Memorial Award in 2019 by Indian Science Congress Association in recognition of his scientific merit.
