Mysuru : Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha has organised a Karnatak music concert by Vidwan Bharath Sundar on Aug.10 at 6 pm at its Vasudevacharya Bhavan on JLB Road.
He will be accompanied on the violin by Dr. Nishanth Chandra, on the mridanga by Vidwan Vinod Shyam Anoor and on ghata by Vidwan Sunad Anoor.
Bharath Sundar started learning Karnatak music at the age of six under Vidushi Gayathri Mahesh, a senior disciple of veteran vocalist Vidwan O.S.Thyagarajan. Then he learnt under Vidushi Leelavathi Gopalakrishnan and her son Vid. G. Srikanth. Presently, he is under the tutelage of Vid. P.S.Narayanaswamy and Vidushi Dr. S. Sowmya.
Bharath is an ‘A’ graded artiste of AIR and is the recipient of several scholarships and awards like Best Vocalist award from Madras Music Academy, Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer Youth Excellence Award, M.S Subbulakshmi Birth Centenary scholarship.
He has performed all over India and abroad accompanied by senior instrumentalists and is one of the most sought-after young musicians of today.
