Mysore/Mysuru: As part of ‘Ninaada Griha Sangeeta Series,’ Ranjani Memorial Trust, Udupi, has organised a Hindustani vocal concert by Sai Eishwary Mahashabde of Pune on Dec. 25 at 6 pm at No. 37, ‘Ninaada,’ Rishabh Siddhi Layout, Kergalli.
He will be accompanied on tabla by Sagar Bharatraj and on harmonium by Tejas Katoti.
Profile: Sai Eishwary belongs to a family of musicians. His grand-father Manohar Mahashabde and his father Dilip Mahashabde were vocalists. Sai Eishwary began his training in music at Sri Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music under the tutelage of Kumudini Mundkur. He got selected as a scholar at the prestigious ITC Sangeet Research Academy under Padma Shri Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar. He is also trained in semi-classical genres from late Padma Vibhushan Vidu. Sai Eishwary is the recipient of scholarship for young artistes by Ministry of Culture. A residential scholar at ITC, SRA, he has been awarded ‘Kal Ke Kalakar’ from Kala Parishad, Bhopal.
Sai Eishwary has performed in Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre Mumbai, Wednesday recital at ITC, Bharat Bhavan Bhopal etc. He is pursuing Ph.D in Music from Banasthali Vidyapeeth.
