Mysore/Mysuru: This weekend Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha has organised a music programme by upcoming artistes for Rukmini Ammal and Sri Ramaswamy Iyengar Memorial Concert sponsored by their children on Jan. 9 and presentation of Nadabrahma Award to veterans Padma Shri recipients Rudrapatnam Brothers — R.N. Thyagarajan and Dr. R.N. Tharanathan — on Jan. 10.
Jan. 9 – 6 pm to 7.15 pm: Vocal Concert by Pruthvi Bhaskar; 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm: Vocal Concert by Ashwini Kolikajje. They will be accompanied by M. Keshava on violin, Pavan Masur on mridanga and R. Srinidhi on ghata.
Jan. 10 – 6 pm: Dr. A.K. Gopalarajan Memorial Nadabrahma Sabha Anniversary. Programme sponsored by fraternity of doctors and well-wishers. Honouring of Rudrapatnam Brothers — R.N. Thyagarajan and Dr. R.N. Tharanathan — with the title Nadabrahma in the name of Gottuvadyam Narayana Iyengar.
The ceremony will be followed by a vocal duet concert by Rudrapatnam Brothers. They will be accompanied by B.K. Raghu on violin, Sanjay Tharanathan on mridanga and V.S. Ramesh on morching.
