Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting a vocal concert by Vidu. Srimatha Ramanand, at 6 pm on Sept. 28 (Wednesday) at Sri Gayathri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple, SBM Colony, Near Vivekananda Circle, Srirampura, Mysuru.
Vidu. Srimatha is a disciple of renowned artiste Vidu. M.S. Sheela for more than 30 years and a ‘B High’ graded artiste from AIR. She hails from a family of musicians. Her mother, Vidu. Geetha Ramanand is an eminent senior veena artiste, while Vid. Adamya Ramanand, her brother is a sought after mridanga artiste.
Vidu. Srimatha has widely performed in several music sabhas and also presented papers in many music workshops. Her articles on music have been published by reputed publications. Besides being a successful performer, she is also a passionate teacher and has involved herself in many projects to educate children on music and also with a few music sabhas.
Vidu. Srimatha will be accompanied by Vid. Keshav Mohankumar on violin, Vid. Adamya Ramanand on mridanga and Vid. S. Manjunath on ghata. All music-lovers are welcome to the concert, according to a press release from Vid. H. K. Narasimhamurthy, Sabha Vice-President.
