City-based Karnataka Rajya Vokkaligara Vikasa Vedike will be celebrating 105 years of reservation introduced by Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar at a programme organised at Kiru Rangamandira in Kalamandira premises at 2.30 pm on Sept.28, during which awards will be conferred on achievers.
Announcing this at a press meet in city recently, Vedike State President H.L. Yamuna said that Yashodharamma Dasappa Lifetime Achievement Award, Adarsha Purusha Award for male achievers and Seva Bhushana Award for female achievers will be presented at the event. MLC K. Vivekananda will inaugurate the programme, while former Karnataka State Government Employees Association President H.K. Ramu will preside.
Writer Narayana Tirumalapura will speak about reservation. Dr. S.P. Yoganna, Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy, Dr. Vasanthkumar, Dr. K.S. Sanjay, Dr. Shushrutha, H.A. Venkatesh, Renuka T. Bhaktarahalli and District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal will be the chief guests.
