Mysuru: Mysuru-Chamarajanagar District Vokkaligara Sangha had organised a programme at Vokkaligara Samudaya Bhavan in Vidyaranyapuram here yesterday to present Prathiba Puraskar to students who had excelled in SSLC and PUC examinations held in 2017.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA G.T. Devegowda opined that Vokkaligas, irrespective of their political affiliation, should stand united for the development of society.
A Ramakrishna, Senior Scientist, CFTRI, Dr. M. Shivanna, retired Deputy Director, Department of Health and Family Welfare, H. Kushi, Yoga exponent, Dr. C.P. Nimishamba, Probationary IAS Officer and Sangha Founder-Members Bettaiah, M.R. Rangaswamy, C. Nagaraj, Patel M. Madu and C.S. Chandrashekar were felicitated on the occasion.
Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji, Pontiff of Mysuru Branch of Sri Adichunchanagiri Mutt graced the occasion.
Sangha President Mahalingam presided over the programme. Vice-President N. Prasanna, Director P. Venkatesh Papanna, District General Secretary P. Prashant Gowda, Vice-President M.N. Chandrashekar and others were present.
