Vote without falling for allurements: ZP Dy. Secretary

Mysore/Mysuru: Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Deputy Secretary (Development) Dr. M. Krishnaraju has appealed people to compulsorily vote for forming a better Government without succumbing to any allurements.

Addressing the gathering at the voter awareness programme held at Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) work site at Kathwadipura village in Debur Gram Panchayat limits in Nanjangud taluk yesterday, Krishnaraju said “Everybody should exercise their franchise, as every vote plays a key role in building the nation.”

Women members of Sanjeevini Sangha, who created awareness on voting by drawing rangolis were felicitated. An oath on compulsory voting was administered for the gathering.

Lauding SVEEP Committee of Nanjangud taluk, Krishnaraju said “The SVEEP Committee of Nanjangud is devising voter awareness programmes in a novel way. The percentage of voting should be increased by holding a few more awareness programmes.”

ZP Director (Planning) Savitha, Mysuru Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Srinivas, Taluk Planning Officer Gurumahadev, Debur GP Panchayat Development Somashekar and others were present.
