Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Department of PG and Ph.D Studies in Shalya Tantra, had organised a one-day National Seminar titled ‘Vrutti Darshan -10th Episode’ on Mar.15 at Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium, JSS Hospital, Mysuru, with the theme ‘Understanding Infection and Anti Microbial Agents – An integrated Approach.’
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest R. Mahesh, Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha.
Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the need of integration and its futuristic implication in health care.
Dr. Siddesh Aradhyamath, Professor and HoD, who deliverd the keynote address, narrated the data of anti microbial effects of established herbal drugs which are in the process of medical practice.
During the scientific session, Dr. Ranjitha Shankare Gowda, Dr. R. Namratha, Dr. H.L. Kalabharathi of JSS Medical College, Dr. H.R. Nataraj, SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan, Dr. B. Satyanarayan, Muniyal Ayurveda College, Manipal, Dr. Sushanth Patil from SDL Pharma, Dr. S. Sudeesh Kumar, Vaidyarathnam Oushadhasala Pvt. Ltd., presented their papers.
Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, in his presidential address, spoke about the integrated approach essential to reach the national health for all by 2030 which is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The valedictory address was delivered by Dr. N. Anjaneya Murthy, former Joint Director, Department of AYUSH. Dr. Prasanna N. Rao, Principal, SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan and Dr. C.P. Madhu, Medical Superintendent, JSS Hospital, were the guests of honour.
Dr. B. Gurubasavaraja, Senior Physician and former Chief Medical Officer, was felicitated.
Organising Committee members Dr. P.P. Aiyanna, Dr. Poornima Jalawadi, Dr. J.V. Adithya, Dr. PKM Poornima were present. More than 350 delegates participated in this seminar offline while over 500 in online mode.
