M.M. Hills: In a oblique tone, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah supported the concerns of farmers of Siddaiahanapura, Haradanahalli, Boodithittu and other villages in Chamarajanagar district, following the ownership claims on 5,000 acres of land by erstwhile Mysore Royal Family.
Answering a question from the media about the letter of Pramoda Devi Wadiyar to Chamarajanagar Deputy Commissioner to issue khata for the lands favouring former royals, CM Siddaramaiah reiterated the popular slogan- ‘Uluvavare Bhoomi Odeyaru’ meaning ‘One who tills the land is the owner,’ sending a message pithily that, khata will be issued in favour of farmers.
