Wakf Board Advisory Committee distributes Ramzan ration kits

Mysore/Mysuru: The District Wakf Board Advisory Committee, under the leadership of its Chairman Azeezulla Ajju, to support religious staff across Mysuru District during the Holy Month of Ramzan, has commenced the distribution of free ration kits to Masjid Imams, Mouzans and service persons of Wakf properties recently.

For the first time, the annual income generated from Wakf institutions is being directly utilised to provide essential supplies to those serving in religious capacities.

The event was inaugurated at the District Wakf Board Office on New Sayyaji Rao Road. The ceremony began with  Duwa (supplication) by Hazrath Moulana Zakaulla Siddiqui Saheb, Khatheeb of Masjid-e-Firdose    in Bannimantap.

The ration kit delivery vehicles were officially flagged off by the District Wakf Officer Mushtaq and Inspector Syed Younus, along with Committee members.

The delegation reached K.R. Nagar Jamia Masjid, where kits were distributed to staff from various village Masjids. The distribution will continue in K.R. Nagar, Periyapatna, T. Narasipur, Bannur, Hunsur, Nanjangud and H.D. Kote.

Several community leaders and officials participated in the distribution ceremonies, including Dr. Mehboob Khan, Congress leader Jabeer, Syed Aslam, A.R.M. Amjad Pasha, various Ulmas and Masjid Management Committee Members.
