Sir,
Madhuvana Layout, Srirampura II Stage, has a big park and hundreds of people use it every day cursing for the way the park has been maintained. Walking in the park has become a nightmare of late. People prefer park to the road for walking in order to avoid dogs and other animals, but this park has more dogs inside than outside.
I don’t know whose brainchild it was to put wicket gates at the three sides where dogs have free entry. How many walkers and children can get dog bites is anybody’s guess.
It has one big gate at the western side, which should have been closed all the time, remains open allowing free roaming of cows with cow dung here, there and everywhere. Walkers have to be extra cautious not to step on the dung, and if they do, God only should save them from a fall.
The track does not have proper drainage facility and silt accumulates at the edges. The ornamental plants at the hedge have to be pruned often. But who cares?
They have grown haphazardly and invade the width of the track and make walking a pressure and not pleasure.
About cleanliness, less the said the better. One can get plates, cups, empty bottles in plenty, inside the park. Where is the Corporator concerned who has to look into this and set it right?
