Ward Survey: MCC Commissioner sensitises volunteers on COVID duty

Mysore/Mysuru: The volunteers appointed by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to conduct survey of all 65 Wards in city were provided training at Jayamma Govindegowda Kalyana Mantap in Kuvempunagar this morning. With no weddings or other mass gatherings due to lockdown, the Kalyana Mantap has turned into Grocery Kit Collection Centre, where the donors deposit the kits for distribution.

The MCC has appointed 80 volunteers, who were briefed by MCC Commissioner Gurudutta Hegde. They are divided into groups and each group is led by a Zonal Assistant Commissioner (AC) during survey.

Each group will visit all 65 Wards and collect information from the residents whether they (residents) have Ration Cards, if they have received  ration kits, number of houses in each Ward, number of migrant labourers and number of BPL and APL Card holders.

After collecting the information, a report will be submitted by the Zonal AC to the MCC.

MCC Assistant Commissioners H.N. Shivegowda, Kuberappa and others were present at the training session.
