Warriors, Bulls to clash at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium today

Mysuru: After two matches, a hit of an opening ceremony, and plenty of excitement in Bengaluru, the Karbonn Smartphones Karnataka Premier League 2017, powered by Cycle Pure Agarbathies, shifts to Mysuru. And if the Bengaluru leg is anything to go by, Mysuru is in for a treat.

The opening match of the Mysuru-leg features, home team Mysuru Warriors led by Karun Warrior taking on Bharath Chipli-led Bijapur Bulls at the SDNR Wadiyar Stadium at Manasagangothri, here this evening.

While, Mysuru Warriors will look to continue their winning spree, the Bijapur Bulls will eye on starting the tournament campaign with a win.

The Mysuru-leg of the tournament was off to a flying start with the legendary cricketer G.R. Vishwanath greeting the captains of all the team at a glittering ceremony organised at Hotel Southern Star, here yesterday. The ceremony also witnessed a curtain raiser show where models walked the ramp with collections of Mysuru-based Fashion designer Jayanthi Ballal. The event was also a prelude for the upcoming Mysuru Fashion Week which is expected to be held later, this month.

The opening match of the Mysuru-leg will be inaugurated by Pramoda Devi at the SDNR Wadiyar Stadium.

KSCA President Sanjay Desai, Hon. Secretary Sudhakar Rao, KPL Governing Council Member Vinay Mruthyunjaya, KSCA Mysuru Zone Chairman Sudhakar Rai, Convenor S. Balchander and others are expected to be present.
