Waste water disposal causing health hazards at Gangammagudi Street

This is to highlight the pathetic state of Gangammagudi Street in Devaraja Mohalla. As seen in the picture, a concerning issue arises with the absence of a proper channel and process for waste water disposal in this area. This area is densely populated with residential houses, housing numerous young children and  elderly people.

The individuals responsible for road construction have failed to implement adequate provisions for waste water management. Consequently, this oversight has resulted in water blockages and subsequent street flooding.

This stagnant water accumula-tion has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and flies, thereby increasing the risk of diseases like dengue and malaria. Despite numerous complaints to the Mysuru City Corporation via phone calls, the response received states that the drainage department is accountable.

However, the workers in the  concerned department assert that the responsibility lies with the sewage department, leading to a month-long impasse.

We earnestly appeal for prompt action to be taken to address this issue. The situation necessitates a comprehensive and sustainable solution to ensure proper waste water disposal. This will be crucial in upholding the cleanliness, health, and hygiene of the area.
