Water pipeline damaged to provide new connection

Sir,

We all talk about conserving energy in our day to day life — be it power, water or any other natural resources. We also celebrated World Energy Conservation Day very recently in December 2016 but we are blindfolded on wastage of natural resources in our surroundings.

This summer we are already affected by water crisis and there is a limited supply. In this scenario our authorities are blindfolded to take required actions on wastage of water due to damaged pipeline.

The authorities had dug up the road in Bogadi 2nd Stage (south) adjacent to CFTRI Layout. The image shown is of the road which connects to CFTRI Layout through Janahitha Main Road in Bogadi 2nd Stage. The existing supply line has been damaged in the process of providing a new connection.

Since a week water is flooding and goes waste at the time of supply, in the morning and there are also chances of water getting contaminated. The stagnant water has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and is posing health risks. Though the authorities have assured on fixing the problem none of them have turned up from the day one.

Through SOM I request the authorities concerned to look into the problem and take necessary action to repair the supply line.
