Mysore/Mysuru: Do you have waste materials at home? Don’t worry contact Mysuru Mega Recycle Drive and Swarna Nrisimha Datta Sai Peethika Seva Trust who come, collect and sell it and the proceeds from that will be used to distribute the grocery kits to poor, old and orphaned. This novel programme was launched in City recently. Till recently, Dr. Sayyed Baker of Mysuru Mega Recycle Trust, was helping COVID-hit patients from the proceeds of unused items stored in houses.
Now, Seva Trust has joined hands in this endeavour, as per directions from Sri Venkatachala Guru Maharaj and Sri Arjuna Avadhoota Maharaj.
On the first day of joint effort, they have managed to collect four loads of unused waste and broken materials like broken furniture, plastic items, old newspapers and books, beds, mattresses and non-working electronic goods, from the houses of devotees.
Later, they were shifted to the scrap yard in Agrahara where it was segregated and sold. The proceeds was used on buying groceries, which was distributed among people in distress. Both the organisations have appealed to the devotees to extend co-operation in this regard.
