To commemorate 75 years of Independence, Mysuru Zoo has organised awareness programmes on Mysore Slender Loris, Nilgiri Langur and Grey Wolf as part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav Conservation to Co-existence and also webinars and competitions from tomorrow (May 17) till May 23.
On May 17, a talk on Nilgiri Langur by Dr. Mewa Singh, Professor, Department of Psychology and Institute of Excellence, University of Mysore will be held. On May 18, a talk on Mysore Slender Loris will be delivered by Dr. Honnavalli Kumara, Principal Scientist, Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History. On May 19, Wildlife Photographers and documentary makers Krupakar and Senani will deliver a talk on Grey Wolf. Poster making competition will be held on May 20, quiz on May 21, essay contest on May 22 and drawing and painting contest will be held on May 23.
