Mysore/Mysuru: Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies (VIIS), a unit of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Mysuru, has organised a webinar on Jan. 11 from 6.30 pm to 8 pm, on the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti which is celebrated as the National Youth Day.
The National Youth Day is celebrated with the aim that Vivekananda’s philosophy and prophecy is always a great source of inspiration for Indian youth. The webinar attempts to interpret his relevance even to this day and for the moment.
SVYM Founder-President Dr. R. Balasubramaniam will be the speaker.
He is a development scholar, author, public policy advocate, leadership trainer and activist, known for his pioneering development work with rural and tribal people in Saragur and H.D. Kote taluks of Mysuru. He was the Head and Visiting Professor of Vivekananda Chair of University of Mysore (UoM).
