Mysore/Mysuru: Devaraja Police have registered a case against a youth on charges of pasting a white sticker on his bike’s registration number.
The accused has been identified as 20-year-old S. Praful, a resident of Gandhinagar in city.
On July 26 at about 4 pm, the Cobra staff of Devaraja Traffic Police Station, who were on their regular beat, found a Bajaj Pulsar N-160 bike parked in the parking lot in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple with sticker pasted on the registration numbers on both the front and rear number plates.
When the Police were taking the bike, Praful, who came to the spot, told the Cops that it was his bike besides telling them that the bike’s registration number was KA-55-EC-5650. But when the Cops asked him why he had pasted white stickers on the registration number in the number plates of the bike, Praful failed to give satisfactory reply.
Devaraja Traffic Constable Anand B. Vali then lodged a complaint at Devaraja Police Station stating that the white sticker may have been pasted to commit crime following which Devaraja Police have registered a case under IPC Section 482 (Whoever uses any false property mark shall, unless he proves that he acted without intent to defraud, be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both) and are investigating.
