Why not a public website for info on MCC expenditure?

Sir,

The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is on a taxation-spree. The citizens as tax-payers and consumers have the right to know how their hard-earned money is put to use. It is therefore necessary for the MCC to give the details of expenditure on a public website, so that the tax-payers shall not only come to know how and where their money is spent, but also shall be up-to-date with various types of works carried out by MCC.

This would also facilitate the tax-payers to give their constructive feedback about the work being done and to be done in MCC jurisdiction.

In this digital age such a website would cost MCC a pittance of its total expenditure, but goes a long way in being the first-of-its kind in the country for implementing such a novel, people-friendly, transparent administrative reform.

The media and the people of Mysuru should come out openly for this website without any further delay. For starters, the MCC may upload the information for the last three years, that is, from the year 2018-19 to 2020-21.
