Mysuru: Marking Wildlife Week-2019 and 25th anniversary of Bharani Art Gallery, a three-day solo wildlife photo exhibition of Amateur Wildlife Photographer S. Ramaprasad has been organised by the Gallery at its premises at 1198, 3rd Main, 6th Cross, Vivekanandanagar, Mysuru, from tomorrow. The Expo is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm till Oct.13 with free entry for the public.
The expo will be inaugurated tomorrow at 10.30 am by retired VC of University of Mysore (UoM) Dr. S.N. Hegde. Retired Secretary of Government of Karnataka A.C. Lakshmana and District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Mysuru President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna will be the chief guests.
Profile: S. Ramaprasad, after completing M.Sc (Physics) from UoM, did his Post-Graduation in translation and commenced his career as a lecturer in Physics at Banumaiah’s College in city. He later served as Science Editor of Kannada Encyclopaedia at Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS) in Manasagangothri. He has authored over 35 books related to Science and was associated with Prasaranga of UoM, Hampi Kannada University and Karnataka State Science and Technology Academy.
Ramaprasad took up photography as a hobby and excelled in wildlife photography. He has won accolades from Photographic Societies in Britain, Belgium, Australia and USA. He is honoured with fellowship of Federation of Indian Photography.
