Sir,
The Financial Year is coming to a close by 31.3.2019. Commencing from 1st April 2019, the MCC will be getting the property tax at all its Zonal Offices in city.
Every year tax payers stand in long queue to get the forms written by paying Rs.30 and then entering it at another point and again stand to remit the money. This is a laborious procedure as also tedious one for the aged and handicapped.
Since many years, the tax payers are insisting and requesting MCC to go online for property tax which till date is not materialised. While the MCC strives for tags like ‘Clean Mysuru’, ‘Heritage Maintenance’, etc., why not they do some groundwork from now onwards and start collecting property tax online?
I hope, the MCC will look into this as still more time is there and can introduce a user-friendly software for payment of the same. Or else, this will badly reflect the e-governance being adopted at MCC and also the age old system being followed in spite of our country heading in digital mode.
