Sir,
It is really painful to observe many of the four-wheeler drivers heading for a race with the ambulance, in spite of having sufficient road clearance to give way to the ambulance. And the irony is that most of these drivers are educated.
Apart from not giving way for the ambulance, these drivers obstruct the free movement of the ambulance by their confused zig-zag driving hearing the hooter of the ambulance.
It is the duty of the motorists to give way for the ambulance — preferably the right hand side lane which is meant for vehicles of higher driving speed. For the patients in the ambulance every second is precious and the motorists should slow down and move towards left hand side clearly showing the indication, so that the ambulance can keep moving without any obstruction.
