Mysuru: An inter-college event ‘Gyaan Bytes 2K18’ was organised by the Department of Computer Science and Applications, SBRR Mahajana First Grade College at its premises recently.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Suresha, of DoS in Computer Science and Chairman, BoS (Computer Science), University of Mysore. In his address, Dr. Suresha threw light on the upcoming technology which is creating opportunities for a more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit in addition to reduced human interventions.
R. Vasudeva Murthy, President, Mahajana Education Society (MES) presided. Dr. Venkataramu, Principal, Heads of the Department of Computer Science and BCA, Shruthy Poonacha and Manjunath were present.
In the two events, LogIQ-Quiz and iTalk- Paper Presentation, were held in which more than 74 participants from 10 different colleges participated in the events.
Results — LogIQ-Quiz: Arun Joseph and Ashish Wilson of Christ College were the winners followed by S.S. Ashwin and M.D. Umar of St. Joseph’s College, in the second place.
iTalk- Paper Presentation: G.S. Vanishree, Vidya Vikas College (1st prize), Ruchitha Jain, Mahajana FGC (2nd) and Mohammed Reza Sharifi of Vidya Vikas College (3rd).
Vikas Chopra, CEO of System Needs, who was the chief guest at the valedictory programme distributed prizes and urged the students to involve themselves in nation-building.
Students of BCA Ashrutha and Niveditha Gowda compered.
