Winners of Inter-Polytechnic Quiz and ‘Do-It-Yourself 2017’ Expo

The winners of the Inter-Polytechnic Quiz Competition are seen with the faculty members of the JSS Polytechnic for the Differently Abled.

Alumni Association of JSS Polytechnic for the Differently Abled (JSSPDA) had organised an Inter-Polytechnic Quiz Competition at its premises here recently.

Nanjundaswamy, President of the Association and Principal of the Institution, appreciated the efforts of the Association in organising such innovative events. He emphasised the need for more participation from various Polytechnics. He also highlighted the significance of quiz competition which would help the students to improve the General Knowledge and pressed the need of reading habit and utilisation of modem techniques such as multimedia and internet in acquiring resources.

Mahadevaswamy, HoD of Commercial Practice, conducted the quiz competition.

Devaraj, Alumnus of the Institution, who is currently working as an Assistant Engineer in KPTCL, was honoured on the occasion.

The students of JSS Polytechnic for the Differently Abled (JSSPDA), Mysuru, have won two 3rd prizes in Computer Science and Jewellery Design Division at the ‘Do-It-Yourself 2017’ two-day State-level Project Exhibition jointly organised by the Department of Technical Education, Bengaluru and Government Polytechnic, Bagalkot. Prize winning students are seen with the Principal and the faculty members.

In all, 16 teams from various Polytechnics participated in the competition. Devaraj and Nanjundaswamy distributed prizes for the winners.

Shivashankara, Vice-President of the Alumni Association, welcomed. D. Bhanumathi, Member of the Alumni Association, proposed a vote of thanks.

Prize winners: First prize: Government Polytechnic, Kushalnagar – K.C. Yathin and S. Rakshith.

Second prize: CPC (Govt.) Polytechnic, Mysuru – V.  Srinivas and K.M. Rajesh.

Third prize: CPC (Govt.) Polytechnic, Mysuru – D.C. Darshan and R. Jeevankumar.
