Winners of National Tennis Championship

R.N. Ramesh, employee of CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, teaming up with a Chennai player, won the Doubles title in 55+ Doubles category of All India Senior Tennis Championship held at Guntur (AP) from Mar.18 to 22.

Ramesh, along with Manivannan from Chennai, defeated top-seed Srinivas Reddy from Ananthpur (AP) and Paul Manohar from Guntur (AP)  by 6-4, 3-6,10-7 in the finals and lifted the Doubles Championship.

Earlier, the duo defeated Rawath from Bengaluru and Ravishankar of Hyderabad by 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals.
