Mysuru: The 39th Annual Conference of Indian Society for Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry was organised under the aegis of Sri Ramachandra Dental College and Hospital, Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu recently, where the faculty of Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, JSS Dental College and Hospital, Mysuru, won best paper award.
Dr. Brinda Suhas Godhi, Reader, JSS Dental College and Hospital, was awarded the Best Scientific Paper titled “Knowledge, Attitude and Practices about early childhood caries among healthcare delivery workers.”
Post-Graduate student Dr. Arvind Neelakantan won the Best Paper Presentation Award for “ATP Bioluminescence as a chair side diagnostic method to assess bacterial load in root canals of primary incisors using final irrigants” under the guidance of Dr. B. Nandlal.
First year PG students Dr. Amira Imtiaz, Dr. N.K. Anoop and Dr. V. Ragavee were awarded the Best Scientific Table Clinic Award on an innovation titled “AuDiTa: Audio Digital Tactile Device for Intraoperative Communication for blind patients” guided by Dr. S. Prashanth.
