Two arrested; Cops on lookout for two others
Mysore/Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police have arrested two of the four persons on charges of dragging a woman out of her house, assaulting her and forcibly taking her in a car.
Those arrested are Chandan and Karthik and the Cops have launched a hunt to nab Sowbhagya and her son, who are absconding. All the four had assaulted one Savitha, wife of Ramdas, residents of AJ Block in N.R. Mohalla and had forcibly taken Savitha in a car.
Details: It is learnt that Ramdas works as a food delivery boy and his wife Savitha works as a tailor at Vijayanagar in city.
The couple’s daughter has completed her education and their son is pursuing his Engineering course.
On Sunday at about 8 pm, Sowbhagya, her two sons and a worker from their poultry farm barged into Savitha’s house when her husband Ramdas had gone for work, allegedly assaulted her besides asking where was Manoj. When her children intervened, the assaulters pushed them aside, reportedly dragged Savitha out of her house, bundled her into a car and drove away.
Shocked over the incident, Savitha’s son lodged a Police complaint. After a few hours, those who had forcibly taken Savitha in the car, dropped her near her house and sped away.
NR Police, who had registered a case, have arrested Chandan and Karthik and have launched a hunt to nab Sowbhagya and her son, who are absconding.
