Mysuru: Depressed over not having children, a 52-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging self at her house in Hootagalli here.
The deceased has been identified as Latha, wife of Narendra, an employee of a factory on KRS Road and a resident of KHB Colony in Hootagalli.
It is learnt that Narendra had married Latha 20 years ago and were issueless resulting in Latha getting depressed which forced her to take the extreme step when no was at home. Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
