Mysuru: A woman, who had returned from her parents’ house post-delivery, was found hanging at her husband’s house at Byathahalli in the taluk yesterday. But her parents have suspected it to be a murder.
The deceased has been identified as Kavya (24), wife of Mahesh of Byathahalli.
A native of Shettanayakanahalli in the taluk, Kavya was given in marriage to Mahesh three years ago. Kavya had been to her parents’ house for delivery and had returned to her husband’s place just three days ago.
Her parents have alleged that her (Kavya) husband Mahesh and his parents had assaulted Kavya and had hung her to look like suicide. They have also demanded the arrest of Mahesh.
Kadakola Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
