Mysore/Mysuru: A woman, who was in a living together relationship with her lover has been found murdered at the house in Nandagokula Layout in Gokulam yesterday afternoon.
The deceased is identified as Sowmya (28), who was staying with cab driver Ramesh. She had applied for a divorce from her husband and the case is still in the Court.
Sowmya was found dead with injuries on her head at about 1.30 pm and V.V. Puram Police, who rushed to the spot following information from the public at about 3.30 pm, conducted mahazar during which the Police came to know that she had died of severe bleeding due to injuries on the left side of her head.
Neighbours told the Police that Sowmya had married seven years ago and had applied for divorce at a city Court. They also said that Sowmya was staying with cab driver Ramesh at the house besides stating that Ramesh was present at the house at the time of murder.
Based on these statements, the Police, who have registered a case, launched a hunt to nab Ramesh who had gone absconding and took him into custody yesterday evening and are interrogating him.
Meanwhile, the Police, who informed the matter to Sowmya’s relatives, have shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.
