Mysuru: A woman, alleging that her husband tried to kill her by ramming into the two-wheeler she was riding with his two-wheeler, has lodged an ‘attempt to murder’ complaint with the Police.
The woman, who has lodged the complaint, is Mamatha and the accused husband is Mahadevappa alias Prasad Purohit, both residents of Kuvempunagar.
In her complaint, Mamatha has stated that she was given in marriage to Mahadevappa 23 years ago and they have two children. She has further stated that since the last seven years, frequent quarrels had taken place between them requiring Police intervention.
On Nov. 31, when she was riding her two-wheeler on Adichunchanagiri Road, her husband, who also came on his two-wheeler from the opposite direction, rammed into the scooter she was riding in an attempt to kill her, Mamatha has stated in her complaint.
Based on the complaint from Mamatha, Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case, are collecting CCTV footages from cameras installed in the accident spot and are investigating.
