Mysuru: A woman has lost her gold chain weighing 25 grams and worth Rs. 2 lakh while travelling in a KSRTC bus.
The woman, a resident of T. Narasipur has stated that she was travelling with her family members in the KSRTC bus from Davangere to Mysuru during which her gold chain was stolen. A case has been registered at Nazarbad Police Station
In her complaint, the woman stated that on June 1, she and her family members were travelling from Davangere in a KSRTC Airavata bus and had kept the gold chain in a box inside her vanity bag which she had kept in her kit bag. As the seat in front of her was vacant she had placed the kit bag on that seat.
At about 4.50 am on June 2, the bus arrived at Sub-Urban Bus Stand in city where she and her family, after collecting their belongings alighted the bus and boarded another KSRTC bus to T. Narasipur.
While travelling towards T. Narasipur, the woman checked her vanity bag only to find the box containing the gold chain stolen, the woman stated in the complaint lodged at Nazarbad Police Station.
Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
