Woman patient injured as under-trial breaks window pane

Mysuru:  A woman patient, undergoing treatment at K.R. Hospital here, was injured when glass shards of a window pane which was allegedly broken by an under-trial pierced her on Friday.

While the under-trial has been identified as Venkatagiri Gowda, the injured woman has been identified as Gowramma.

Venkatagiri, an inmate of Mysuru Central Prisons, was brought to the ENT Department at K.R. Hospital for treatment on Friday, when he smashed the glass of a window resulting in the glass shattering and glass pieces piercing Gowramma resulting in minor injuries to her.

Meanwhile, the Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of K.R. Hospital has lodged a complaint with Devaraja Police, who have registered a case and  are investigating.
