Women ‘Warriors’ all set for inaugural KSCA Maharani Trophy

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru’s NR Group, owners of Mysore Warriors, picked up international cricketer Shubha Satheesh during the players auction held yesterday for the inaugural KSCA Maharani T20 tournament to be held in Bengaluru from Aug. 4 to Aug. 10.

Shubha Satheesh is the first woman cricketer from Mysuru to play for the Indian women’s team. She was also a member of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) women’s team which won Women’s Premiere League (WPL) in 2024. The matches will be played at Alur Grounds and the finals will be at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Aug. 10.

Mysore Warriors will compete against Hubli Tigers, Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters, Mangaluru Dragons and Shivamogga Lions making the competition an exciting display of emerging women’s cricketing talent.

NR Group has also announced ‘Cycle Pure Agarbathi Trusted Player’ and Series Award for this season to honour standout women cricketers.

Speaking about Mysore Warrior’s debut in the Maharani Trophy, Arjun Ranga, Owner, Mysore Warriors and Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathi, said, “We are proud to support this landmark moment in Karnataka cricket.
