Mysore/Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM) Career Hub, Negilayogi Vidya-vardhaka Competetive Exams Coaching Centre and D. Banumaiah College of Arts and Commerce had organised a one-day free workshop for IAS and KAS aspirants here recently.
Speaking after inaugurating the workshop, KEA CEO Rajesh Gowda said that becoming bureaucrats and officials is not an easy job and it requires a lot of hard work and determination. Pointing out that civil service aspirants should first set out their task, he said that success comes only with concentration, dedication and determination.
Noting that information these days come as a steady flow, he said the candidates should identify what all the information or inputs they need for their studies and then use them for their benefit. Stressing on the need for patience to achieve success, he said it is fundamental to have a strong base on whatever we do. Observing that early preparations will be good for civil services exam, he called upon the aspirants to waste no time in their preparations as time factor is crucial.
UoM Career Hub Advisor D. Ravikumar said, even common students can achieve success in competitive exams provided they study hard with determination and dedication. Asserting that no one should have the impression that civil services is meant only for the intelligent and rank holders, he said that correct planning in studies is key for cracking the exam.
UoM Career Hub’s Advisor Jayashree said that many candidates are scared of English, which is not correct. Pointing out that English is an international language and learning it has become a necessity, she said that one can become proficient in English if they study hard.
