Mysuru: A two-day workshop on ‘Recent trends in nanomaterials for energy and electronic applications,’ organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of JSS Science and Technology University, SJCE commenced here this morning.
About 100 representatives of various engineering colleges are participating in the workshop which features seminars and interactions on the topic.
Inaugurating the programme, Dr. K.V. Ramanujachary, Professor, Department of Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry, Rowan University, Glassboro, New Jersey, USA, opined that more thrust should be given on ultra large scale integrated devices of electronic industry which can solve many problems.
Speaking as the guest of honour, JSS Science and Technology University Registrar Dr. K.S. Lokesh opined that the future of the country was depending on youth and advised the students to focus on subject-based learning. SJCE Principal Dr. T.N. Nagabhushan, Programme Convenor Dr. Shankaraiah, Co-ordinator Dr. Veena and others were present.
