As part of ‘Ambedkar Jnana Darshna Abhiyana’ International Convention organised marking the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a two-day workshop for the regional-level social activists (Kodagu, Chamarajanagar and Mysuru districts) has been organised by the Social Welfare Department, Convention Organising Committee and University of Mysore’s (UoM) Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, at Rani Bahadur auditorium, Manasagangothri, in city on Feb. 13 and 14.
PWD and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the programme on Feb.13 at 10.30 am. UoM VC (in-Charge) Prof. Yashwanth Dongre will preside. Registrar Prof. Prof. R. Rajanna will be the chief guest. Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. J. Somashekar will deliver the introductory speech. District Social Welfare Dept. Mysuru Jt. Director D.S. Prabha will be the special invitee.
Valedictory: The valedictory of the workshop will be held on Feb. 14 at 3.15 pm. Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) Deputy Director Dr. Dharanidevi Malagatti will deliver the valedictory address. Prof. Muzaffar H. Assadi of Political Science Department, Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Studies Research and Extension Centre Director Prof. K. Sadashiva and littérateur Prof. Kalegowda Nagavara will be the chief guests. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair Visiting Professor Dr. Mudnakudu Chinnaswamy will be the special invitee. Dr. S. Narendrakumar, Coordinator of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, will preside.
