Mysuru: National Institute of Engineering – Centre for Research and Development (NIE-CRD) in association with TEQIP-III (NPIU) is organising a two-day workshop on “Engineering Faculty You Can Do Research, Learn How…” on Feb.22 and 23 at its premises.
NIE-CRD is trying to improve the quality of scientific research which is a necessary obligation for creating successful applications for societal needs. Research and developmental activities creates and disseminates new knowledge in a range of fields, promotes innovations and these will motivate better learning. NIE-CRD ensures that all the core and inter-disciplines flourish in research by adopting the highest norms and standards of a scholarly undertaking.
This workshop gives greater insights into various topics such as Research ethics, Development of working hypotheses and preparing the research design, Plagiarism, Scientific writing, Citation Methods and Styles, Research Grant Proposals.
Eminent resource persons from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Technical Education Division, Mysuru and University of Mysuru (UoM) will address the workshop.
The event will be inaugurated by Dr. C. Ranganathaiah Director, (A&A) JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Technical Education Division, Mysuru. Dr. G. Ravi, Principal, NIE, will preside. The event is co-ordinated by Dr. B. Suresha, Dean (R&D) and NIE-CRD members.
