Workshop on Food Safety

Mysore/Mysuru: The BioNEST Incubation Centre at CSIR-CFTRI, in collaboration with International Training Centre for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition (ITCFSAN) of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, has organised a four-day certificate-oriented Workshop on ‘Food Safety and Export Regulations’ from Mar. 23 to 27.

This comprehensive workshop will be conducted by senior officials from Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) along with distinguished regulatory experts.

The programme aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements essential for food businesses and exporters.

Key topics to be covered include: (i) The Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, (ii) Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011, including a practical demonstration of the FoSCoS portal and, (iii) Critical aspects of food export regulations and compliance.

The Workshop is specifically designed to benefit food startups, entrepreneurs, academicians, students and industry stakeholders seeking to strengthen their regulatory understanding and enhance export readiness.
